I'd rather call it "optimisation". By being overly frugal, you will tend to miss out enriching experiences and not follow through with interesting ideas. Focusing on your personnal development is a much better goal/idea. Sometimes you will have to "loosen the budget". I see it as investing in yourself... Afterall, that's where all the richness (and the income) in life come from. Great blog. Cheers. From a personnal development perspective, frugality is indeed flawed.
